Dancing in the Streets!

Mark your calendars now for August 16th & 17th, as the City of Atascadero turns up the heat with a wide variety of fun things to do over Cruisin’ Weekend! For the fourth year, Atascadero’s 27th Annual Hot El Camino Cruise Nite and the 30th Annual Mid-State Cruisers Car Show will be extended for an extra day to include the newly very popular entertainment event, “Dancing in the Streets”! This toe-tapping celebration will include a great selection of food and beer vendors and beautiful antique cars to enjoy, plus a variety of everyone’s favorite local bands featuring great music and lots of dancing! Plan to be in Downtown Atascadero on both Friday, August 16th and Saturday, August 17th, for a few of your favorite summertime traditions!


Dancing in the Streets will kick off on Saturday evening at 5:00 p.m. for a great night of fun and dancing! The evening promises a full variety of music for everyone’s enjoyment and entertainment, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes!

Community Entertainment includes the Atascadero High School Cheer Team kicking off the event, announcement and performance of the 2020 Dancing with Our Stars, performances by Motions Academy of Dance and our very own Colony Park Community Center Ballroom Dancing Instructors, Sharon and Dan Davis, getting you ready for the evening ahead as they demonstrate great dance moves to get you up on your feet!


The Classic Cars from the Mid State Cruizers Car Show will also be on West Mall next to City Hall for your viewing pleasure until 7 pm! 


Since everyone is sure to work up an appetite with all that dancing, a variety of food trucks will be available including Hurricane Kitchen, The Greasy Wiener, Feed My Seoul, Templeton Pizza & Greek Food, La Luz del Mundo Paso Tamales, Coastal Cravings Shaved Ice, G-Brothers Smokehouse & Kettle Corn, Crave Mini Donuts, Heavenly Hot Dogs, Hungry Mother Truck, Mary’s Cuisine, Marston’s 101, Taqueria Don Jose, Sweet Grace Cookie Company, Railroad BBQ, Beachwalk BBQ, Gypsy Flame Pizza, and Taco Stand!


To satisfy your thirst, the Central Coast Brewer’s Guild will be representing a variety of our beverage vendors including Topa Topa Brewing, Justin Vineyards & Winery, Ancient Peaks Winery, Central Coast Distillery, Lone Madrone Winery, Bristol’s Cider House, Rio Seco Winery, YES Cocktail Company, Krobar Distillery, Fig Mountain Brewery, Tent City Beer Company, M Special Brewing Company, Central Coast Brewing, Firestone Walker and Barrelhouse Brewing! Atascadero Printery Foundation will be providing water and other goodies for purchase.


There will also be variety of local businesses that will be open late that evening, including Dark Nectar Coffee, Dead Oak Brewing, Central Coast Distillery/ Forager (Tasting Room), Dunbar Brewing, Fossil Wine Bar, Grape Encounters Empourium, The Raconteur Room and Whiskey & June. In addition, enjoy shopping at a variety of our boutique stores and enjoy some of our downtown dining favorites that are in close proximity to the event!
