First Fridays "Día de los Muertos" in Downtown Atascadero!

Join us for First Fridays: DIA de los muertos, November 1st! 

The “Día de los Muertos” theme will set the tone as we offer festive entertainment and a variety of food and drink specials that can be found throughout the Downtown at many of the popular restaurants and drink establishments. 

 

Live Music by BIG WHEEL COBRA & Folkloric Dancers from Paso A Pasito Dance Group, Paso Robles both at Historic City Hall, Strolling Mexicanisimo Mariachi Band, face-painting, sugar skull decorating activity, and Huatulco Taco Food Truck! PLUS enjoy the ART HOP at over 30 participating Downtown locations! 

 

Día de los Muertos will feature an Ofrenda remembrance altar outside the double doors at the front of City Hall facing Sunken Gardens. The public is encouraged to bring a photo of a loved one or a beloved pet that has passed to remember as part of the Day of the Dead celebration.  The Ofrenda will be set up on October 30th and removed the morning of November 3rd. Please plan to pick up your loved one's photos no later than Monday, November 3rd. Please no candles at the Ofrenda location. 


This event kicks off at 5:30 pm and is FREE to attend! Plan to bring your wallet for food, face painting and to enjoy the variety of restaurant & drink establishments found in the Downtown.
